Oh my Alethia. She is so full of spunk I can hardly keep from laughing at her all day! So the other day Caleb and Daddy were having time together and I thought I would try playing hide and seek the real way with her, you know, when you count.....ready or not here I come?? Yeah, I thought I would go for it. I quickly realized that counting to 10 took far too long and I needed to shorten it up. So I counted to five. Now, she did not quite get the whole "stay in your hiding place until the person finds you" deal. But she really liked to be the counter! So she said, "Mommy, you hide and my go count!" (which is kind of a big sentence for those of you who have not been conversing with our 2 year olds on a daily basis). So I hid in the closet and off she went to count, "1, 4, 5, 6!" Yup, that is how she counted every time.....it was so cute. Of course I was not allowed to change my hiding place and I was not allowed to even point my feet in a different direction or she would correct me, but we played for probably 30 minutes....and she never did say 2 or 3! Pretty funny since all she and Caleb hear everytime they are in trouble is...."1....2.....3!" But she forgets 2 and 3 and Caleb always forgets 2! Go figure!!!
