My Brother

It's true, this is not my natural brother. Jim lives in New York and I rarely have an opportunity to see him. This is my brother Jeremy, whom God has brought into my life to be my brother here since Jim is so far away. Let's see, how to describe Jeremy......he's the most passionate person I know, well, maybe he's equally as passionate as Chris, it's hard to top him. But Jeremy puts everything he has into whatever it is that has his attention. Fortunately for Chris and I, we've had his attention for a few years. He's been such a close friend, the kind that doesn't need to call ahead or knock when he comes to visit, he just walks right in.....exactly the way I like it! He's been present for the most intensely stressful and the most exciting events of our married lives. He even became a Redskin fan when he saw how passionate Chris is about the Redskins (now THAT'S real passion). And he's enlightened us to one the deepest truths in life: that there is no team greater than the Boston Redsox! He's honest, caring, and always there when I need him (even when the brakes go out suddenly in the van!). He's been there with us in just about every hospital visit, including in the delivery room when the kids were born. And man, do they love Jee-Jee-mee!! He's part of our family and I'm blessed to have him in my life. Happy birthday Jeremy!!! (sorry I'm a few days late, but that doesn't REALLY matter, does it??)
By the way, Jeremy took the picture below for the "reflections" post. It's also a great thing to be friends with a professional photographer!

  1. That is so how I feel about Chris. My brother from another mother with the same perfect father. Isn't it good how God places these people in our lives?
