Who am I

I am a woman who is married to the most amazing man that I have ever met.  I have twin children who bring more joy to me than I ever could have imagined.  I am living the life that I always dreamed about in my relationships.  However, there are a few things that make this life unique.  My husband broke his neck and was paralyzed in a car accident when he was 20 years old.  I met him 3 months after his accident.  We began dating 2 years later and were married after 1 1/2 years of dating.  We were not able to have children by natural methods, so we did in vitro fertilization, which brought about our wonderful son and daughter.  I decided to do this blog to share the interesting and unique life experiences that I have had and will have in the future.  Life is not easy when your spouse is paralyzed and can't even use his hands.  It does mean more physical work for me, but the love that my husband bestows upon me makes up for and supersedes any love that I could have imagined otherwise.  The challenges we have had to face may have caused us to feel isolated from our friends and other people our age, but they have also  brought about a depth of love and respect and stability to our relationship that I would not give up, even if it meant having a "normal" physical marriage.  Through this marriage I am learning how to "consider it pure joy" when I face the trials and challenges of life.  My God is teaching me and I am doing my best to learn, grow, and become a stronger woman as a result of it all.
