Alethia's joy is contagious. It really is hard to watch her play and see how happy she is 90% of the time and NOT smile at her. She sings, she dances, she jumps, she giggles, she is goofy, she makes jokes....she's just full of life and full of joy.



Yesterday we walked outside and Alethia started to complain that she was too hot. Just after that there was a wonderful breeze that came our way and I said, "Look Alethia! Jesus heard you say you were hot and he sent a wonderful breeze!" She stopped and turned her face into the wind and just smiled until it stopped. Then she looked up at the sky and said, "Thank you for my wind." The rest of the day while we were outside she thanked Jesus for shade, for shadows, for other breezes......for anything that made her feel good or happy. It was so sweet to watch her wonder and amazement at the nature that God has surrounded us with. What a joy she is!



For Christmas Caleb was given a fishing rod and a fish with magnets that allow you to "catch" the fish. Alethia wanted to go fishing so we headed to the fountain on campus. Unfortunately there was no water in the fountain, but that didn't seem to matter to Alethia! She fished for over 30 minutes!
