We found out our pregnancy results......we're not pregnant. We lost the twins that they implanted - healthy and alive. We found out the news 10 days after the implant which was also Chris' birthday.
It was actually a blessing in some ways that it was on Chris' birthday because we had several fun little activities that we did as a family throughout the day. We gave Daddy his present in the morning and sang to him. We found out our news around 1:00 but we still hadn't baked his dessert, so we still had some baking with the kids to do and a "party" with just the four of us that evening. (Caleb and Alethia didn't know anything about the invitro other than Mommy was getting shots for her belly.....and Mommy had stickers on her belly to make it feel good - estrogen patches).
Although I knew that there were more emotions to come, the first day wasn't too bad and for that I was thankful. There's something about two bouncing, excited little ones who are ready to celebrate that makes it difficult to feel sad at the time.....again, a nice gift for me on this day of sad news.
